Wow! It has really been a while since I shared a fashion related post on this blog.... Let's just say I've been busy with weightier matters...LOL!

Well, Well, Well! For those of you who have been waiting and asking, here we go...

Today on "Fashion As God Wants It"

I present to you the gorgeous fashionista,

Miss Melissa Holdbrook-Akposoe

So the other day I was browsing through Melissa's blog and totally fell in love with this particular outfit... Immediately I contacted her and sought her permission to share the pictures with my lovely 'Fashion As God Wants It" fans, and of course, she agreed (Thanks Melissa).

There are so many things I like about the outfit

I love the blazer to bits (Mother actually got me a green one...Yipee)

The skirt is so on point!

Colour combo = fabulous...

 The sister absolutely rocked the Neon trend in a godly and gorgeous way.

Where would you rock this sort of outfit to? For me, this will be a perfect outfit for sunday service or maybe birthday meal .

I really hope this post has given you ideas on how to combine those neon pieces in your closet. As you go about your business this week, remember to dress the way you want to be addressed! If you claim to be a Christian, people should see Christ even in your dressing. By all means do your best to look nice but keep the look godly and gorgeous.

A lady that has to show it

Doesn't know

It is a thin line between dress-sense and nonsense!

I don't need to dress half naked

To show that I was gorgeously created

My Father's glory radiates on me

And I know it!

You can call me princess

I am the precious daughter of the king of kings!

Beautiful,fearfully and wonderfully made

Just in case you didn't know,

God was simply showing off

When He created me

Forget the big bang

I was made in His image and likeness

My body, He found worthy to be His temple

I might be the choice of many

But many ain't good enough for me

Flattering, money and gifts can't buy me 

My price is far above rubies

I am simply worth more than gold and silver

That's a statement of fact,I know it!

Many women do noble things

But I surpass them all

A lady that has to show it 

Doesn't know 

Charm is deceptive and beauty is vain

But a woman who fears the Lord shall be praised

I am a virtuous woman

And of course I know it!

This post is dedicated to all my lovely,sweet, godly and gorgeous sisters/friends all over the world. These days in the world and even in some of our churches, nudity seems to be the order of the day! It is understandable when sinners dress half-naked(that is what sinners should do anyway) but when Christian sisters dress up exposing vital areas of their body all in the name of trying to looking nice, it can be really shameful and disgusting! As a daughter of the most high God, your boobs/thighs have no business making public appearances, please Learn to cover up! You can still look classy and gorgeous when your private areas remain PRIVATE! Remember the bible says our body is the temple of the Lord and if we truly believe this, we will treat our body with more respect . Guard your body jealously!  Always make an effort to present your body to God as a holy and living sacrifice (Romans 12:1)  and don't let anyone ever talk you into doing something you will regret later with your body.

Meet my lil sis, Demmie on "FASHION AS GOD WANTS IT"

This week on "Fashion as God Wants It", I present to you my one and only gorgeous "not so lil" sister,  Demmie.   This angel right here has been my fashion police for years ...when i'm about to make a major outfit blunder (Which I do a lot especially when I can't be bothered), Miss Trouble just knows how to run her mouth to get me back on track. 

We both love maxi dresses and think every lady should have at least 1 in their closet. Check out Demmie rocking a simple maxi dress to church. Doesn't she look so gorgeous?

MISS TOMILOLA ESCADA ON "FASHION AS GOD WANTS IT"

The other day I was in Bradford city to see a friend whose wife put to bed...immediately I got down from the train, I saw a beautiful poster that made me scream out loud! "Omydays that's Tomi!!". Right from the train station to the university area, I kept seeing her in different posters and you should have seen the way I was "Shinning teeth" about that day... I was extremely overjoyed!!!. You see, I graduated from University of Bradford about a year ago and it was so so so nice coming back to see that the youths in church (RCCG Chapel of His Glory,Bradford) were not only doing well within the church but excelling academically too. To God's glory last year many of us finished with good results but this year, not only did Tomi graduate with a fabulous degree classification, she raised the standard of excellence for many youths and I was so so proud her.  CONGRATS ONCE AGAIN TOMILOLA.

Introducing my latest pet-project 'FASHION AS GOD WANTS IT'

Hello Ladies in the house, this blog post is dedicated specially to you. Christian dressing is such a big deal for many of us these days... while some Christian ladies dress so HOT to the point that you can't differentiate them from chics at red-light districts, some in the name of trying to look 'holy' dress so terribly/trashy, you'll think they were mourning a loved one. It is really a thin line between dress-sense and nonsense so how do we strike a balance as Christians? iGuess it all boils down to 1 Corinthians 10:31...even our dressing should be to God's glory!

I've heard many pastors/ministers’ children complain "Why must I cover my hair to church?", "Why wouldn't my parents let me wear trousers?", "I want to relax my hair/wear extensions but my mum keeps saying NO, why?", "Why won't they let me pierce my ears or wear jewelleries?" etc . Although I might not have all the answers to your questions, I'm introducing a new segment on my blog called "FASHION AS GOD WANTS IT" which will be addressing such issues and also featuring pictures of fashionable Christian ladies who just know how to do their thing!

Errrm, I'm not saying they are the yardstick for Christian dressing but I'm very sure we can learn one or two fashion/styling tips from them. The aim of this is to encourage Christian sisters to dress godly but still look gorgeous!
